Honour your tax obligations – DCE advises residents
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya North in the Ashanti Region, Rebecca Yeboah has urged the Assembly Members and the citizenry to support the Assembly's effort in raising its internally generated funds to address the challenges confronting the various communities within the District.

She said, the Assembly had performed well in its Internal Revenue Mobilization since its inauguration.

According to her, A total of Two Hundred and Thirty Thousand, Three Hundred and Sixty-nine Ghana cedis, Sixty Seven Pesewas (GHS 230,369.67) was realized as of October, 2018 out of the estimated revenue of Two Hundred and Seventy Thousand, Three Hundred and Thirteen Ghana cedis, Fifty pesewas(GHS 270.313.50) for the year 2018.

This represents (85.22%) achievement of the target set for the year.

Expenditure has also been kept within range with a total expenditure of one Hundred and Sixty Thousand, Nine Hundred and Sixty four Ghana cedis, Seventy-five pesewas (GHS160,964.75) as of October, 2018 out the estimated expenditure of Two Hundred and Seventy Thousand, Three Hundred and Seventy Thousand, Three Hundred and Thirteen Ghana cedis, Fifty pesewas was (GHS270,313.50) for the year.



On District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), She said the Assembly received an amount of Six Hundred and Forty-nine Thousand, Nine Hundred and Eighty - Three Ghana cedi, Fifty nine pesewas was (GHS649,983.59) from the central government as its first and second quarter share of the District Assemblies Common Fund for the year 2018, out of the Three Million, Two Hundred and Seventy-Seven Thousand, and Seventy-One Ghana cedis, Thirty nine pesewas (GHS3,277.071.39) estimated budget for the year.

According to her, with this financial support the Assembly has embarked on several development projects since its inception notably, reshaping of Atamso Junction-Bogoro feeder road, Spot improvement of Kapro-Darbaa road, Blading of Asuofua- Achiase town road, clearing of Darbaa-Owabi feeder road, Dredging of Anomakosa river and its tributaries surrounding Asuofua, Asamang, Anwoma and Kokoben communities to avoid previous floods that caused havoc to life and property in these areas, Renovation of the old Barekese Health Center into office, sod-cutting for the construction of a modern court building at Atwima Akropong and a 6unit- classroom block at Barekese D/A Basic school.



She disclosed this at the second ordinary meeting of the Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly held on Tuesday 11th December, 2018 at the Methodist Church in Barekese, the district capital.

The DCE in her keynote address, commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led administration for the introduction of numerous government policies and programmes such Planting for food and Jobs programmes, One-District-One Factory (1D1F), Afforestation exercise, Free SHS, double track system among others.

She said, The District Department of Agriculture received the following farm inputs and distributed to the farmers: these are 5 mini bags of maize seed (125kg), 5mini bags of rice seeds (125kg), 3,700 NPK Fertilizer (185,000kg), 28kg of tomatoes seeds and 2kg of pepper seeds to farmers within the district.

She indicated that, A total of Two Hundred and Forty-five personnel across six modules have been posted to the district as the time of reporting.

In attendance were, The Acting Coordinating Director (DCD), Mr. Kaleem Abdallah, Presiding Member for the Assembly, Hon. Isaac Ohemang, Assembly Members, Heads of Department, Assembly Staff, the Security Capos respectively.
