Residents of the community in an interaction with the Member of Parliament for the Nsuta Kwaman Beposo Constituency bemoaned the sorry state of their health centre, which they say has become a white elephant as there is no staff at post to make the facility operational.

They explained that the staff there vacated their post almost 20years now, hence access to health care had become a major constraint to them.

According to them, what deepens their wounds is the plight of women in labour, who have to be carried on a motor bike and commute on their deplorable road network for some miles before they could get access to health care and this sometimes leads to still birth and untimely delivery.

The neglected health centre, they noted, used to serve cluster of communities; and proper attention must be developed on their health issues to curtail the current plight of the people.

In response to the above grievances, the Member of Parliament for the Nsuta Kwaman Beposo, Kwame Asafo Agyei explained that he is aware of their predicament and would team up with the Sekyere Central District Assembly so that they either renovate the facility or put up a new community-based health and planning (CHPS) Compound so that health staff could be posted to the community.
