Atiwa East MP rolls out “one community one spraying machine” distribution

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Atiwa East, Mrs Abena Osei-Asare has rolled out a new campaign dubbed “one community one spraying machine” distribution to help enhance farming activities especially, cocoa production in the area.

According to the lawmaker her constituency which is predominantly a cocoa producing area, lacked spraying machines as well as agro-chemicals for the mass spraying exercises.

The MP, who has already begun the distributing the spraying machine in various also added the agro-chemicals to facilitate the mass spraying exercise.

In an interaction with the people of New Jejeti, a community in the constituency, Mrs. Osei-Asare revealed that all was set for the establishment of a new District Cocoa Board office in the area.

She expressed appreciation to the chiefs and elders for readily accepting to provide a temporal office for the board, adding that a two-year advance payment has been made to secure two-storey apartment for the board.

On their part, the Chief and elders of the community also lauded the MP, as this was the first time an MP for the constituency has in involved them in decision makings concerning developments in the area.
