Phase 2 of Salaga Township roads commences

The Municipal Chief Executive of East Gonja, Mr. Mohammed Tamimu together with the Savannah Regional Engineer has handed over the site to two contractors to begin work on phase two of the Salaga township roads.

The contractors namely; Degroup Ghana and Dermed Ghana Limited were allotted portions of the project.

Degroup Ghana limited is to construct the stretch from Mr. Gado's junction through to Powerhouse and would continue from Ayamba Villa to Muskai respectively.

Dermed Ghana limited is also in charge of Nguan Mallam - kitoe stretch and New -market - Cemetery stretch on the Bau road.

In view of these the phase 1 has already been awarded to Bilqis international construction Limited who has reported to site at the Public Works Department (PWD) and already coveying chippings opposite Amdaway filling station for the construction of drainage.

Phase 1 is 7 km which covers the Tamale -Muskai stretch through to roundabout, Hajia Zulfawu's stretch, and the roundabout - kapartey stretch.
