15 persons fail to vote in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai special voting

A total of 15 voters failed to show up in the just ended Special Voting exercise on Tuesday in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency in the Western North Region.

Out of the total registered voters of 239 to take part in the Special Voting only 224 persons were able to cast their vote at end of election leaving 15 persons absent.

There were made up of 157 males and 67 female. The absentee voters cannot vote on December 7, per the EC rules.

A visit by the Ghana News Agency to the Electoral Commission District Office where the special voting took place in Constituency revealed that, names of some Media Practitioners and Security Personnel were missing in the voters register.

At Bibiani, the voting commenced exactly at 7:00am and ended peacefully at 5:00pm with all the COVID-19 protocols strictly in placed.

There were Veronica bucket and tissue papers displayed at the entrance of the voting center to safeguard them from contracting the novel corona virus during special voting exercise.

The security personnel were present to protect lives and ballot boxes whiles the Media were also around to observe the elections process after voting in order to report accurately.

The agents of the various political parties were also present to monitor the process of the entire voting.

The biometric verification device worked effectively without any challenge in Bibiani Constituency for a smoothly elections.
