RCC, Zoomlion present compactor to NiPDA for effective ‘Operation Clean Your Frontage’ campaign

The Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council in partnership with Zoomlion, a waste management company has donated a compactor to the Ningo -Prampram District Assembly to ensure the effectiveness of the operation clean your frontage instituted by the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr. Henry Quartey.

The Military Head of Operation at Zoomlion, WO II Issah Jagbsie, presenting the compactor to the District Chief Executive said they have taken a keen interest in the president’s initiative in making Accra the cleanest city therefore the partnership with the Regional Coordinating council.

He therefore, charged management of the Assembly to bring to book households that will deliberately go contrary to the "operation clean your frontage" directives and also cautioned against the commercial usage of the compactor.

Mr. AL-Latiff Tetteh Amanor expressed his gratitude to the Regional Coordinating Council for the gesture and stated that the assembly will jointly work with the District Environmental office to roll out a strategy, immediately for work to commence since the district is the first to receive such from the Regional Coordinating Council and also handed it over to the District Environmental Health Officer Madam Evelyn Nani.

The District Environmental Health Officer disclosed that acquisition of a compactor for the District has been their greatest challenge whenever a clean-up exercise is organized and describe the donation of the compactor as timely.
