N JUABEN S: Local Gov’t workers builds capacity
The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly in collaboration with GIZ, a Germany Organization, have organized one day capacity building seminar at the Assembly hall for Local Government Workers.

The seminar, which was held on the theme:” Enhancing knowledge, skills, and capacity of staff for effective service delivery” forms part of building competent work force for national development on the Government “Ghana beyond Aid” Agenda.

Speaking at the forum, the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Comfort Asante said “the need to uplift our ways of discharging our duties is very crucial if we want to meet the Assembly target. Madam comfort Asante encouraged the Staffs to treat the training program with all seriousness it deserves.



The MCE thanked the participant, the organizers and the facilitators for their involvement and making the seminar a successful one.

The Municipal Coordinating Director in his opening remarks suggested that such programmes should be organized on regular basis to sharpen and refresh knowledge of personnel. He also said workers should be abreast with efficient and new technological ways of solving problems.



Madam Nancy Okran a facilitator and a Director of Human Resource at the Regional coordinating Council as part of the training took the workers through performance management system and urged workers to put up their best when duties are assigned to them. She cautioned the heads of the various departments not victimize their subordinates.

Mad Nancy Okran in the second section of the training program engaged participants to fill sample of the upgrading document in groups to find out their level of understanding.
