Mr George Bray, the Municipal Chief Executive, made this known at the Assembly's maiden Meet-the-Press Series at Dansoman in Accra to furnish stakeholders with information on the activities undertaken since its establishment a year ago.

It was also to create a platform for the people to participate in the local governance process as mandated by Section 40 of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (936).

Mr Bray said projects completed by the Assembly included an eight-seater water-closet toilet facility for the Divisional/District Police Quarters at Dansoman, and the installation of street lights in the Municipality.

The Assembly also provided support to the Ga Traditional Council and  the Muslim Community for the celebration of the Homowo and Ramadan respectively.

The MCE said the project outlook for 2019 were six weeks training of 50 women in hair-dressing and beautification, purchase of revenue mobilisation van, and the construction of 2.9 kilometre Western Link road for the Municipality.

It would also construct a three-storey office accommodation, police station at Dansoman SSNIT Flat, police post at Shiabu and Mpoase as well two six-unit classroom blocks with ancillary facilities to enhance education in the area.

Mr Bray warned the residents of Mpoase to desist from defecating along the beaches adding that all illegal structures in the area would be demolished to prevent criminal activities.
