Ayawaso Central Assembly confirms Mohammed Quaye as MCE
Ayawaso Central assembly has confirmed Alhaji Mohammed Quaye as Municipal Chief Executive for a second term in office.

All seventeen Assembly members, made up of 12 elected and 5 government appointees voted “yes” representing 100 percent endorsement in an election that was supervised by John Mensah, the Municipal Electoral Officer.

Speaking after the declaration, Alhaji Quaye promised to work with all sundry to ensure massive developmental projects in the Municipality.



"To achieve this, I will continue to introduce more reforms to help improve the Assembly's Revenue Mobilization drive and also to aggressively tackle the menace of sanitation and crime-related issues in the Municipality."

"Again, I would like to assure you of a transparent and accountable administration, as well as teamwork in solving the challenges of the Municipality", he stated.


He also thanked President Nana Akufo-Addo for re-nominating him and the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr Henry Quartey as well as the Assembly Members for the overwhelming endorsement.


The Greater Accra Regional Minister, who doubles as the Member Parliament for Ayawaso Central, on his part, expressed his appreciation to the Assembly members for reposing confidence in the President's nominee.
