SEKYERE A P: Assembly collaborates with chiefs for 1D1F
The Sekyere Afram Plains District Assembly in the Ashanti Region is collaboration with traditional authorities in the district to bring to light government’s “one districts, one factory” (1D1F) policy.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Joseph Owusu, explained that the Assembly in collaboration with the Omanhene of Kumawu Traditional Area, Barima Tweneboah Safo Kodua has dedicated 200,000 acres of land for equity financing to invest in the 1D1F.

The DCE disclosed this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com at the sideline of a two day workshop organized by Trustworks Consulting Limited in collaboration with the office of the Head of Local Government Service, aimed at empowering MMDA’s through the acquisition of knowledge in the areas of project financing and accessing global funding for developmental projects.



Mr. Owusu indicated that investors have submitted their proposals to the assembly and have shown interest in the Agricultural and Agro- processing investment areas.

He said that they have consulted the deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Robert Ahomka- Lindsey and are doing a lot to facilitate the government’s policy on 1D1F in the Sekyere Afram Plains area, adding that people will soon witness the implementation of the policy in the district.

The DCE took the opportunity to commend the organizers of the international workshop for a good work done.
