At a short ceremony, Madam Lubaabat noted that the facility, like the many others funded by GNPC Ghana, is an investment in Ghana’s educational system and not just a routine item of the Corporation’s Corporate Social Responsibility mandate.

She tasked authorities of the school to ensure the facility is put to good use and to ensure a good maintenance culture.

Receiving the facility on behalf of the school, Mr. Gershon Hlordzi, the Head Teacher, said the facility has come at the right time to ease the burden of overcrowding in the school.

“The school is currently densely populated to an extent that some of the classrooms have between 105 to 108 pupils. This Classroom block will, therefore, help mitigate the challenge in the school and provide a serene environment for effective teaching and learning.” he added.

He thanked GNPC Ghana and assured that the facility, which comes with a staff common room and a storeroom, would be properly maintained to serve them for a long time.
