Receiving the items on behalf of the inmates, DSP Vera Dzekle expressed joy and appreciation to the Mayor and KMA for coming to their aid.

She said the items will go a long way to improve the lives of the inmates as well as help in the smooth running of the administration of the Prison facility.

She added that the welfare of inmates should not be ignored especially in this COVID-19 period and for the Prisons Service to effectively execute its mandate, it must be adequately equipped.
