According to him, the government through the Ministry of education and the Ghana Education Service had already laid down some innovative ways, new technologies and well-structured programmes that are geared towards making education accessible to all.

Mr Osei-Fosu, who said this when speaking at the 60th Anniversary ceremony of Boana D /A Basic School, said education develops critical thinking of children, hence the need for parents to attach additional importance to the education of their wards.

He promised the school 100 bags of cement to aid its infrastructural projects. The DCE also donated some hundreds of exercise books to the pupils to help facilitate teaching and learning.

Headmaster of the school, Mr Anthony Awuah, called on the government and other philanthropists to come to the aid of the school by providing it with a new computer laboratory to support ICT studies.

He also appealed for study desks and modern classroom blocks to enhance teaching and learning.

On his part, Nana Takyiwaa Endurance, the District Director of Education stated that formal education requires State-Of-The-Art infrastructure and logistics and therefore called on the government to come to the school’s aid by providing it with the needed infrastructure and logistics to help promote quality education in the area.

She seized the opportunity to encourage the community’s Queen mother and parents to instill discipline into the youth. She further advised the young ladies against teenage pregnancy in order to achieve higher academic excellence.
