Asphalt overlay will enhance and drive socioeconomic growth-MCE
The Krowor Municipal Assembly is currently embarking on a massive asphalt overlay on selected roads in the Municipality.

The move in line with the Year of Roads promised by His Excellency the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area Mr. Joshua Nii Bortey who had been inspecting progress of work done so far, with his technical team from the Assembly, expressed satisfaction with the pace of the ongoing asphaltic overlay and was optimistic that it would be completed within the given schedule.


According to him, the asphalt overlay at the Nungua Beach Drive from the Regional Maritime University- Methodist Junction through the Nungua Nnshonaa Landing Beach to the Coldstore and Coco Beach Resort Junction will enhance and drive socioeconomic growth owing to the location of multinational companies, key financial institutions as well as the hospitality industry where tourists from across the globe flock on their visits to the country.


He also witnessed sectional repair works at Lashibi traffic light with engineers from the Assembly to make that section motorable.


Mr. Nii Bortey further explained that in every modern society a very good motorable road plays a crucial function in the day-to-day activities as well as increasing mobility for people, goods and services and therefore thanked the current government for the massive road infrastructure in the Municipality.
