Afigya Kwabre south receives truck to solve sanitation challenges

The Zoom Lion Ghana in partnership with Green Ghana Project which will see to the planting of trees along highway has donated a Waste Management truck (Compactor) to Afigya Kwabre South District Assembly to support waste transportation services and solve sanitation challenges in the district.

The donation also forms part of the resources the zoom lion Ghana pledged to support the implementation of Sustainable Cleaning, Greening and Beautification of Ashanti Project (SCGBAP), an initiative to clean the entire Region.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Afigya Kwabre South, Mr. Adu-Poku Christian, who received the compactor expressed his gratitude to Zoom Lion and Green Ghana Project for the gesture and pledged to make maximum use of the Compactor adding that, the compactor would go a long way to assist the Assembly to lift garbage.

He indicated that the Assembly recognized the sanitation situation in the district and they are working assiduously to curb the menace.

He therefore urged residents to collaborate with the Assembly to achieve its objectives.
