Fanteakwa North District in the Eastern Region has under the One-District-One-Factory program grabs two factories to improve economic growth in the district.

Two separate investors have been reviewed to chiefs of the land of which one is into cassava processing factory and the other into furniture production.

Investors in the furniture processing factory popped up after the Member of Parliament for the
Fanteakwa North Constituency, Mr Kwabena Amankwa Asiamah with the Diasporan Promotor Ambassador for Fanteakwa, Nana Kwame Ankah who has stayed in China for

almost nineteen (19) years held an investment forum in China to attract investors to the Fanteakwa District which the wooding processing company shown keen interest to have a factory of the kind in the district.

Asikess Ventures who began the implementation of cassava processing had one-district-one-factory support which the CEO of the company, Nana Asiedu brought in a Thailand Company which will be extracting ethanol from the cassava.
During the investors' outdooring event held in Begoro, the One-District-One-Factory Coordinator,

Mad. Gifty Ohene-Konadu said ''This is an evidence to those saying the one-district-factory program has not started, I have about eighteen (18) projects of which funds have been released to establish. In Eastern Region, Begoro has begun its own, we have one in Suhum, Nsawam as well and others.''

Begorohene, Fanteakwahene and Benkumhene of Akim Abuakwa Traditional Council, Daasebre Awuah Kotoko II shown his anticipation about the projects and forbode to support the government, the district, investors and promoters litigant free lands to bring their ideas into reality to go in benefit of the youth in the district.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Kwakye Dafour hailed the Begoro Traditional Council for releasing a vast land for the projects and urged the other traditional councils in the region to imitate in order to spread the one-district-one-factory program to promote the region.

Speaking to the MP, Mr Amankwa Asiamah there are more investors who have shown interest to establish factories in the district and since the landowners (the traditional council) has discharged lands for the project, all will soon be materialised.

The Fanteakwa North District Chief Executive, Mr Charles Oware promised to back the project with all the necessary documentation and support the promoters will be needed to operate the factories successfully.
