KINTAMPO: Assembly Members handed motorbikes

Assembly members in the Kintampo North Municipality are good to frequent their electoral areas with their motorbikes handed over to them.

The sixty-six (66) motorbikes were distributed to the Assembly Members at the first ordinary meeting of the fourth (4th) session of the Kintampo Municipal Assembly held on Thursday, May 30, 2019.

The motorbikes as promised in previous meetings was finally procured and delivered by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Michael Sarkodie Baffoe led by the administration of the Assembly.

Presenting the motorbikes, Mr. Michael Sarkodie Baffoe, Municipal Chief Executive reminded members of the Assembly of their roles and responsibilities towards their society and to use the motorbikes to aid in accomplishing this arduous task, also called for proper maintenance of the motorbikes.

The Crime officer of the Kintampo Command of the Ghana Police Service DSP Prosper Gbagbo asked Assembly members to register the motorbikes and keep them safe as motorbikes theft was in the increase in the Municipality. He also reported on the spate of armed robbery and warned the assembly to be on the alert with reported cases of terrorism and kidnapping in neighboring countries and towns respectively.
