MCE Calls on Teshie Manste

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ledzokuku Municipal Mr. Mordecai Quarshie has assured the Chiefs and people of Teshie that his administration would assiduously work to ensure that there is an improvement in the development of the Municipality.

The MCE said this when he paid a working visit to the palace of Nii Gbetsorlor Akomfra III, Teshie Mantse and to introduce himself to them.

Nii Gbetsorlor Akomfo expresses his gratitude for the successful approval of the MCE to steer the affairs of the Municipality. He prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom and knowledge for the MCE to be able to execute his plans for the development of Teshie.

The Teshie Mantse reminded the MCE that Teshie is a large environment with a lot of challenges and tasked him to safeguard the administrative territory of Teshie and also channel a component of scholarship fund into the development of the area.

A strategic brief was presented to the MCE by the chiefs and part of it stated finding a solution to chieftaincy disputes, changing the name of LEKMA hospital to Teshie General Hospital.

The MCE who was accompanied by Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. John Tsikor, the Presiding Member of the Assembly, Mr. Richard Annan and some heads of departments noted that the Assembly is already working on a letter received from the authorities to change the name of the LEKMA Hospital.

He said he has taken note of other concerns raised and would address them as such and then called for their collaboration to move Teshie forward.
