Frankfurter Football club receives support

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Tain in the Brong Ahafo Region, Lawyer Charity Oforiwaa Dwommoh has donated footballs to Frankfurter Football club as part of efforts to help improve sports in the area.

The DCE who is best known of her passion for sports and support for the youth as means of bringing about social cohesion in the area made the presentation at her residence at Nsawkaw, Saturday 23rd December, 2017.

Lawyer Dwommoh noted that it would only be easy for the government to address socio-economic issues affecting the district once there is peace and unity among the people.

She said it is therefore necessary to use sports as a tool to encourage the youth to build their lives and also help them live a healthy life-style.

She also threw the challenge to other stakeholders and philanthropists in the district to assist the government to develop football and other lesser known sporting activities.

“Government cannot win the fight alone; it is therefore a responsibility on us all to build our youth through various sporting activities such as football” the DCE added.

She took the opportunity to advise the youth to isolate themselves from bad companies and rather stay focus and respect the elderly.
