Embrace local rice farming to create jobs - Atwima Nwabiagya MCE
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Atwima Nwabiagya Mr.Michael Amoah Awuku has reiterated the government effort to resource local rice farming with financial and technical support as well as free seedlings to ban on the importation of rice to save the country’s currency by creating jobs and worth for Ghanaians especially the youth.

He made this known at Amanchia D/A Junior High School Park during the 35th Edition of the National Farmers Day Celebration.

Mr.Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere Member of parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, Nananom, Assembly staff, farmers in the municipality and other dignitaries were present for the colourful durbar.



The MCE also commended the government for massive interventions that have revolved the country's Agriculture transformed to food bumper, areas of logistics, financial support, expansion of Agric staff as well as flagship programs like Planting for Export and Rural Development ( PERD), Planting for Food and Jobs( PFJ) and other supports.



He then called on Ghanaians to embrace the local rice farming by the government to create jobs.
