District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Mr. Daniel Teye Akuffo presenting the seedlings to the institutions, indicated that the programme is aimed at establishing a raw material base for local industries and the Assembly would support agriculture, as it had a lot of benefits for the people.

He noted that the PERD would also help build internal systems for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs), create systematic networks and actively promote export in the District to play a leading role in leveraging Ghanaian market potential for made-in Ghana products, thus contributing to achieving the national target for economic growth.
