Assembly endorses Joseph Bonsu Frimpong as DCE

The Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly in the Ashanti Region has endorsed Mr. Joseph Bonsu Frimpong as District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area.

Out of the 39 votes cast, Mr. Frimpong garnered 33 'yes' votes representing 84.6%.

In a victory speech, the DCE-elect expressed joy over his election and thanked the President for giving him an opportunity to serve his people in his second administration.

He also thanked the former DCE, Assembly members, chiefs, NPP constituency executive and heads of department for their show of support.

'I will employ innovative ways to address various needs and challenges of the people', DCE-elect assured.

He finally invited everyone to play a part in transforming the fortunes of the district.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahafo Ano South West constituency, Johnson K. Adu and the Ashanti Regional Minister's representative at the event, Nana Ama Ampomah (Ashanti Regional NPP Women Organizer) both advised the assembly members to team up with the new DCE to bring more development to the district.

The colourful event was held at the assembly hall.
