MCE Commends NABCO Trainees and PFJ Retailers of Lawra
The Municipal Chief Executive for Lawra in the Upper West Region, Mr. Martin Bomba-ire has conducted a monitoring exercise on Planting for Food and Jobs inputs of the retail shops within the municipality.

The exercise also afforded him the opportunity to monitor and interact with the NABCO employees stationed at each retail point to monitor the sales of the subsidized products to ensure that they reach targeted farmers but not smuggled into neighbouring countries as being reported in other parts of the country.


Speaking to the retail shop keepers and NABCO employees, he commended them for abiding by the terms and conditions and measures put in place by government to have a smuggle free agric inputs distribution in the municipality since the implementation of the program.

He urged the general public to provide valuable information to relevant authorities to ensure that the program is successful.



The MCE and his team inspected documents and some of the inputs such as fertilizers, seeds, among others.

The MCE was in the company of the Agriculture Director and Upper West Regional Coordinator for Government special initiative projects, Amos Gyetuo.
