Lawra MCE Inaugurates Computer Library

The Municipal Chief Executive for Lawra Municipal Assembly in the Upper West Region Mr. Martin Domotiere Bomba-Ire, has inaugurated the Holiday community classes for Basic school pupils in his municipality.

The classes are taking place in the newly renovated Youth Library by the municipal Assembly and refurbished with modern IT equipment by GIFEC.

The MCE in his Address thanked His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the Minister for Communication and Chief Executive Officer of GIFEC for selecting Lawra municipality to be the headquarters of GIFEC in northwestern Ghana.

He commended the Member of Parliament, Hon. Anthony Karbo for lobbying for such a life changing project for his constituents.

The MCE encouraged the young children paraded in front of the Youth Library to take up the lessons seriously to enable them take control of this century of digitalization.

He added that this facility is among many other promises of the government to make learning easy and accessible for all. I know most of our parents can't afford computers for is all but this facility equip with internet facility will go a long way to support those of us who would have taken is years to getting access to a computer.
