The event saw a diverse turnout of about 1000 residents including families, young and old, taking advantage of the opportunity to address their health concerns.

Medical experts on-site from the African Health Organisation offered a range of screenings, including blood pressure checks, cholesterol tests, glucose monitoring, malaria, diabetes and Hypertension among others whilst conditions that needed further clinical diagnosis and treatment were referred to bigger healthcare facilities.
The assemblyman, known for his unwavering commitment to the well-being of his community, before the exercise welcomed and engaged with attendees, creating an atmosphere of trust and solidarity.

Mr Mankatah explained that the health screening was organized to improve the lives of the needy and less privileged members of society adding that, “the exercise was targeted at providing an opportunity for people, especially those who could not afford frequent medical check-ups due to financial constraints to have access to medical care and help to inform people on their health status."

"Health screenings can identify medical conditions or risk factors at an early stage when they may be more manageable or treatable. Early detection can significantly improve treatment outcomes and quality of life... Let me say that regular health screenings are a key component of preventive healthcare.

They serve as proactive measures to prevent the onset of diseases through lifestyle changes or interventions, “he said. According to him, the screening was a way of giving back to the neighborhood that shaped him as well as fostering a sense of community and social support.
