Increased food production in Nsawam due to government’s interventions - MCE
The Municipal Chief Executive of Nsawam Adoagyiri, Isaac Kwadwo Buabeng, says food production in his area has seen a significant boost in recent times and attributed the boom to some government-initiated policies.

The MCE noted that another important policy is the Modernization of Agriculture in Ghana, a 5 year budgetary support programme from the Canadian government aims at bringing about agribusiness development in the sector.
He said even though there were certain irregularities in the rainfall pattern this year, coupled with the COVID -19 pandemic which slowed down the activities of farmers, they still managed to pull through by providing food within and outside the district.
He added that, the pandemic has taught countries of the world lessons for the need to step up food production centres locally, and consume what we produce.
The MCE who was addressing the 36 th celebration of farmers’ Day also encouraged the farmers to produce more food to serve the country.
