The DCE made this known when Head of Local Government Service, Dr Nana Ato Arthur, paid a working visit to the area last week.

Mr Sanda, in his welcome address, also made known his commitment to help sustain the current peaceful atmosphere in the district in order to achieve the much needed socio-economic development that the people so much desire.

He revealed that, the Assembly, through the support from the Police Command and Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), has put up new police posts at Kojokperi, Fian and Bussie to add up to the existing district police station at Issa.

He added that, the Assembly will soon form a community watchdog committee to complement efforts by the police in the fight against crime in the area.

“This will help stop petty crimes in the communities and also because we believe that security of the district is a shared responsibility of all citizens” he added.

He pledged to collaborate with the ministry of interior to get a vehicle for the police in the area. He however, noted that the assembly has already procured a number of motor bikes to support their work.
