ASSIN S: DCE’s Goodwill Message to Muslims on the occasion of Eid ul - Fitr

My brothers and sisters, in all humility, I send you special greetings on this year’s Eid ul-Fitr which marks the completion of the Ramadan fast. On behalf of Assin South District Assembly and on my own behalf, I wish to congratulate all Muslims within Assinman and beyond on the successful completion of the month-long spiritual journey of fasting, prayer and almsgiving in obedience to the Divine Command.

It is my fervent prayer that the Almighty Allah will reward our sacrifices with increased blessings and a more prosperous future. It is my conviction that all of us who took part in this spiritual journey have been rejuvenated on the true meaning and essence of life as taught by Prophet Mohammed (SAW), to imbibe the virtues of piety, sacrifice, love, self-denial and good conduct in our daily relationship with one another.

Let us continue to demonstrate these virtues in order to live peacefully with one another.

As we celebrate this year’s Eid El Fitr, I humbly call on all citizens of Assinman to uphold these lessons and appreciate the numerous material and human blessings the Almighty Allah has bestowed us with.

Let us continue to show gratitude, respect and tolerance to one another, irrespective of our religion, tribe, language and political difference as we forge ahead to make Assinman a better place for all of us.

Let me use this opportunity to assure all of us that the NPP government led by His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo whom I represent at the District Assembly will not relent in the fight against poverty, provision of basic social amenities, security and economic empowerment for all citizens of Assinman. They are the people we owe a duty to serve.

My brothers and sisters, let me also use this opportunity to commend Nananon, the Member of Parliament for Assin South- Hon. Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, Hon. Presiding Member and all Hon. Assembly Members, all religious leaders, Civil Society Organizations in the District, Heads of Department of Assin South District Assembly and every one of you, for your continuous support and good counsels towards making Assinman a better place for all of us.

I promise you all better days ahead even as we remain grateful for your unwavering support to my administration. Let us be moderate in our celebration.

Happy Eid ul - Fitr celebration and may the almighty Allah continue to bless Assinman.
