Arrangements for the Street naming exercise in the Akuapem North Municipality is far advanced with most of the processes completed awaiting the actual exercise to be commenced soon.

According to Mr George Opare-Addo, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), there had been stakeholders meeting and committees responsible for different aspects of the project had been inaugurated.

Mr Opare-Addo told the GNA in an interview that the assembly had met traditional authorities and the area and town councils had been assigned specific roles for the smooth take-off of the exercise.

He said the assembly, to ensure that the time line for the completion of the project was met without any hitches, had given a deadline for the submission of names and so far had received some names that might be considered for the streets.

He said with all these preparations the assembly was waiting for the Ministry of

Local Government and Rural Development to support the assembly with some equipment for the data and area photographs to facilitate the exercise.

Mr Opare-Addo said all stakeholders would be involved in the exercise and called on all to support the exercise to ensure a maximum success.
