Chiefs and people of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality in the Central Region have appealed to the government to establish a police station, hospital and upgrade the school in the area to help cater for the growing number of children of school going age.

The people took opportunity of the president’s visit to the Municipality last Friday to offer thanks to the Almighty following the affirmation of his presidency by the Supreme Court after eight long months of contest.

Though the president did not responds to their calls, they are hopeful some urgent measures will be instituted  to address the aforementioned problems confronting the people especially considering the population of the area which keeps growing by the day.

Kasoa, which falls right at the boundary with the Greater Accra Region has grown rapidly over the years following its proximity to the national capital, Accra with very large population of various working class including civil servants, businessmen and women, students  among others.

It however appears the rate of development has overwhelmed the government hence the city is confronted with some infrastructure challenges that need early attention. Among them is a flyover, necessitated by large volumes of cars plying through the municipality to other areas in the central region and beyond.
