Residents of Anokye in the Pru District of the Brong Ahafo Region are calling on government to as a matter of urgency come to their aid to put their road into good shape.

Some drivers who complained to Ghanadistricts.com said that the road which was in a terrible state usually worsens during the rainy season thereby making it difficult for traders to transport their produce to market centres.

They cited instances where more than 25 trucks carrying foodstuffs and passengers were stacked in mud on the road for hours before they were rescued. 

The situation they narrated created a lot vehicular traffic that day.

Other road users who also ply the road also complained about the lack of maintenance of the road.
