GOMOA C: No active COVID-19 case recorded - DCE

The District Chief Executive of Gomoa Central Benjamin Kojo Otoo said the district has not recorded any active case up to date, during an address at the second ordinary session of the assembly.

Mr. Otoo noted that the COVID-19 taskforce is ensuring strict adherence to the protocols by the president and the health professionals so that the district will avert from the pandemic.

He further said institutions have also intensified educational campaigns to help avoid the disease.

He said the assembly in collaboration with the government and the member of parliament in the area Naana Eyiah, has distributed 20,000 hand sanitizer, 12,000 veronica buckets, tissues to individuals and groups in 55 communities, and other safety equipment to assist both SHS and JHS final year students.

Mr.Otoo said the environmental health and sanitation unit together with other stakeholders had also carried out the disinfection exercise and therefore called on chiefs and elders to ensure protocols for funerals to avoid the disease.
