The DCE gave the advice when he and the District Director of Education, Hajia Elizabeth L. Filko joined hundreds of new entrants to observe this year’s “My first day at school” celebration.

Interacting with the pupils in some of the schools visited, Mr. Mahama urged them to set high goals for themselves and urged them work hard to get these goals accomplished.

He called on the teachers to put up good behaviors at school and lead exemplary lives since most children perceive them as their role models.

Mr. Mahama further charged them to develop innovative ways of teaching the children, especially the new entrants, in order to make school attractive to them.

He appealed to parents to ensure that their children have good education to make them successful in future.

Some schools visited include, D/A primary, Fulfulso Presby, St. Francis Xaviar Primary, Jiramoape D/A Primary and Sankapla T.I Ahamadiya Primary Schools.
