KWAHU S: Security embarks on operation to flash out Fulani herdsmen
The Kwahu South District Assembly yesterday embarked on an operation to flush out Fulani herdsmen from the district.

The District Chief Executive, Mr. Emmanuel Ofori Atta led the team made up of security officials in the district in the exercise code named “Operation Cow Leg”. They visited Nt?m?m, one of the hardest hit areas of the Fulani menace.

In conversation with Ghanadistricts.com, the DCE stated that one of the most pressing issues confronting farmers in the Kwahu area is the invasion of farmlands by Fulani cattle herdsmen with their cattles.

He stated that these nomadic from the Sahel countries have caused huge loses to them already leaving a lot of them impoverished because they keep destroying their crops and sometimes maiming them.

Mr Ofori Atta said the lives of people in the area are in danger. “They always call and inform me and my team of threats posed by these Fulani herdsmen and their cattle on their farms”.

The DCE promised that, the security are on the filled and hope the assembly will find a lasting solution to the fulani menace since it is a recurring problem.
