32- year old farmer wins best farmer in Obuasi East

A-32 year old farmer from Diawuoso Mr. Daniel Fordjour has been adjudged the 2022 District Best Farmer for Obuasi East in the Ashanti Region.

He took home a tricycle, 40 Inches led television, GTP wax print, cutlasses, field boats, Certificate of merit and many others.

The award winners thanked the Agriculture Department for the good relationship with farmers in the District and also added his voice to calls for young people to venture into agriculture stating that, it is lucrative.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Mrs. Faustina Amissah, in her address, expressed her profound gratitude to the farmers for their immense contribution towards the Socio- Economic Development of the country.

The Member of Parliament, Mr. Patrick Boakye- Yiadom also used the occasion to congratulate the farmers. According to him, farming had significantly contributed to the national development through employment creation and many others.

The former MCE for Obuasi Municipal Assembly Mr. Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, the District Coordinating Director Mr. Eric Aboagye-Mensah, Chiefs, the Clergy, members of the security services, Assembly members and heads of Department were all present to grace the occasion.
