He said with the natural resource deposit in the municipality Wenchi deserved to have more than one district.

Dr. Kwakye Afriyie said the forum was to dialogue with stakeholders to identify priority constituency needs of Wenchi in areas such as the 1district 1 factory, sanitation, access to quality water, agricultural infrastructure among others.

On the 1district 1factory program the Honourable Chief Executive mentioned that the project was private sector led and as a result many individuals from within and outside have shown interest through applying.

The Anantahene of Wenchi Traditional Council Nana Baffour Owusu Ansah Agyapong commended the President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo for bringing his campaign promises to fruition.

He noted that with the natural resource deposit in the municipality, Wenchi needed more than a factory and further called on government to consider it.

The Assembly member for Congo-Dadiease-Seiduakura Electoral Area Hon. Osei Kofi Amos strongly requested the establishment of a cashew factory in his

Electoral Area since the Area was well endowed with cashew plantations he added.
