According to him, reports were received from 20 farmers covering 30 acres of land on the invasion of the fall armyworm on their maize crops.

Mr.Djampoh said, in order to curb the menace, the Assembly formed 35-man spraying gangs to deal with the situation, adding that the fall armyworm will be totally eradicated in few days to come in the municipality.

He therefore advised farmers to report any infestation on their fields or farms to the Agric Department of the Assembly for free chemicals to control them.
