The meeting held at the assembly’s conference room between officials of the assembly and the KFW delegation explained the electricity situation in the municipality, the toll of electricity and water bills on the assembly as well as the benefits to be derived from the project when implemented.

Among the visiting team include Miss Claudia, Miss Vanessa and Mr. Agyekum.

A presentation by the Municipal Assembly led by the Planning Officer emphasised that the focus of the authorities was on rural electrification and the solar electrification project would be of immense good to such course.

He added that about 47% of the communities in the municipality are not connected to the national grid and therefore should be connected.

According to him, not only would the solar electrification be cheaper for the rural communities, but more importantly, the municipality presents a very conducive climate for solar connectivity.

A brief overview was also done by the department of Water.

There was a tour to the various water stations in the municipality with some key members.
