The Regional Minister for the Ahafo Region who doubles as the Member of Parliament, Asunafo North constituency, Evans Opoku-Bobie has paid a working visit to some communities in the Asutifi South district.
Communities visited include, Konkontreso, Acherensua, and Hwidiem among others.
Addressing the Traditional leaders and the entire public, the Minister urged them to support of the new region because issue of developmental projects and job opportunities will not be centered at the capital Goaso and that is not the purpose of creating Ahafo Region.
‘’It is very important to note that all the developmental projects will be spread at the various communities in the region.’’
He was optimistic that, the creation of the region is going to focus much on infrastructure, adding that the vision to create new regions by the Akufo-Addo's administration was to facilitate rapid development on the doorsteps of the people.
He charged the youth to take an advantage of the new government flagship ‘’Rearing for Food and Jobs’’ programme and take active part in piggery and poultry rearing because the government is ever ready to support them.
The Minister was accompanied by the District Chief Executive, Mr Dwomoh Mensah Robert, Ahafo Regional Executives and Constituency Executives.
