BAWKU W: Gov’t on course to implement all flagship programmes - DCE

The District Chief Executive of Bawku West in the Upper East region, Victoria Ayamba has sent signal to the citizens of Bawku West that all flagship programmes by government to transform the economy and bring about growth and development are receiving the needed attention for their implementations.

Among them include the “one district one factory”, “one village one dam” and the “one million dollar one constituency” which are going preparatory stages for implementation. Some particularly in the agriculture sector, like the “Planting for Food and Jobs” has already been implemented and a number of farmers are benefiting from it.

To this end, she said, the district is also readying itself for the implementation of programmes, hence the District Implementation Support Team for the “One Million Dollar, One Constituency” has been formed and will be inaugurated accordingly.

“Similarly some feasibility assessment has been made on the “One District, One Factory” as well as the “One Village One Dam”, she stated.

Madam Ayamba noted that when all these programmes take-off jobs will be created for the people. “Let us continue to co-operate and support the efforts of the President and his team as they work to make life better for us.”

The DCE gave the assurance when addressing citizens at the 33rd Farmers’ Day held at Binaba.
