AKUAPEM N: MCE commissions 'Adawso' water station project
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Akuapem North Municipal in the Eastern Region, Mr Dennis Edward Aboagye has reiterated the government's commitment to provide households especially rural communities with clean drinking water.

According to him, the assembly has set its priorities right to ensure that potable water is made available in every home for cleaning, cooking and simply keeping themselves clean.

The MCE, noted this known when he joined the Chiefs and people of Adawso, community in the municipality, to commission a new water station to help store and ensure adequate distribution of potable water in the area.



The project, which is first of its kind in the area, received its funding from the Government of Ghana (GoG), World Bank, the Community and other development partners including Ecobank.

Addressing the community at a colourful event, the soft-spoken MCE noted that the project comes as great source of relief to people, saying that “the people of Adawso now have the chance to tap water into their homes to enjoy domestic 24hr water supply.




According to him, the laudable Project will be replicated across the municipality to increase access to potable water for the people.

He announced that assembly had allocated resources for the expansion of safe water projects across municipality. He called all hands on deck to help achieve the goal of the government and the assembly for that matter.
