SEKYERE S: Over a thousand residents join clean-up exercise at Agona
More than thousand residents of Agona, a community in the Sekyere South District of the Ashanti Region joined the District Chief Executive of the area to embark on a massive cleaning up exercise.

The DCE, Hon Catherine Reckline addressed the participants that, she would not condone any illegalities that would fuel any disaster through flood.

She explained that many a time dumping of refuse indiscriminately and also building houses in waterlogged areas and have been the major cause of flood disasters in our vicinities in recent times and such filthy acts should be stopped by Ghanaians.



She also called on them to rally behind her so that sanitation challenges could be curtailed.

The Sekyere South District Sanitation Officer, Mr Kwaku Opoku also disclosed that, they would soon embark on sanitation awareness campaign to sensitize the inhabitants of the district on the need to keep our environment clean to avoid any disaster.



She finally called on them to be law abiding citizens as defaulters would face the rigorous of the law.
