AMANSIE W: Security intensifies night patrols along some roads - DCE
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Amansie Central Nana Kwame Asamoah- Boateng has said that the district is relatively calm and peaceful from crime because the police have intensified night patrols along some roads.

This he disclosed at an Assembly meeting held at the district assembly hall at Jacobu

Addressing the members, he said that some of the areas which have been intensified with night patrols are Fiankoma along the airport road of Kumasi to Obuasi highway, Mile 9, Hia among others, explaining that the measures taken are to curb cases of armed robbery in the district.



The DCE further stated that the assembly is supporting the District Police commander with a weekly fuel allocation of 15 gallons to enable them patrol along the aforementioned areas.

Mr. Asamoah-Boateng indicated that the assembly is working hard to provide more police stations in the district to extend police visibility and accessibility to the sprawling suburbs to ensure effective security.



“The police have also intensified intelligence gathering the arrest of suspects involved in criminal cases” he said, adding that the construction of the Apitisu police station which is at the roofing stage is an example of the measures being put in place to help curb criminal cases in the district.
