MCE assures YEA beneficiaries of regular payment

Diana Attaa Kusiwaa, Municipal Chief Executive of the Nkoranza South Municipality has urged Youth Enterprise Agency workers engaged under government’s Agric flagship programme, planting for food and jobs in the Nkoranza South Municipality of regular payment of their salaries.

She gave the assurance when the YEA beneficiaries received their first monthly salary under the scheme.

Hon. Diana Attaa Kusiwaa who also visited the cashew nursery site at Akuropong expressed delight at the good work and advised those in charge to be serious with their work to enable the municipality achieve its quest of boosting cashew production in the Nkoranza South municipality and a major economic crop for poverty reduction.

According to the MCE, the government is ready to help in achieving this goal as it has done to cocoa production.

The Municipal Agric Director, Amenga Denis Abugri added that, he's happy for the commitment showed by government towards agriculture and advised the beneficiaries to do well with the cashew production.
