Eastern MDCEs undergo 2-day capacity and physical training exercise
Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Eastern Region have undergone a two-day Capacity Building and physical fitness workshop at the Jungle Warfare School, Seth Anthony Barracks, Akim Achiase.

As Chairpersons of their various District and Municipal Security Committees, the retreat was aimed at building stronger team spirit and Mental Alertness in order to improve workers engagement and build stronger teamwork in their workplaces.

Eastern Regional Dean and District Chief Executive (DCE) of Birim North, Mr Richard Amponsah Agyabeng, revealed to Ghanadistricts.com that, MDCEs were taken through topics such as Time Management, Leadership and Self Discipline, Relationship between MMDCEs and their staff among others.



He said the team also went through some physical training with the help the military officials in the school. Certificates of participation were presented to the Municipal and District Chief Executives after the retreat.


He urged various institutions to frequently visit the school for both physical and mental training.

“We will also encourage all institutions to send their staff to the school to have a feel of what they have. It promotes tourism. As the DCE of the District I will encourage everyone to visit the school once in his or her lifetime”, he added.


Meanwhile, the MDCEs, as part of their corporate social responsibility, presented one hundred bags of cement to fast track the process of constructing a Hostel Facility for the Jungle Warfare School.
