Several properties including a poultry farm and shops were destroyed by the storm at Amomaso and Koraso.

Consequently, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Isaac Osei, the District Cordinating Director (DCD) Mr. Peter Maala and the District Coordinator for the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Mr. Peter Boampong have paid a visit to the affected communities to commiserate with the victims and to make assessment of the situation.

Mr. Isaac Osei in his interaction with some of the victims encouraged and assured them of the government’s support. He also urged the community members to offer the necessary support to the victims as they wait for the government’s intervention.

Nana Dwaah Ibrahim, a traditional leader at Amomaso Community led the DCE and his entourage round the community for them to ascertain the extent of damage.

He appealed to the government to come to the aid of the victims as soon as possible.
