BIRIM N: Chief of Abokyikrom appeal for toilet facility

Nana Kwaku Asiamah, Chief of Abokyikrom has called on the District Chief Executive for the Birim North Raymond Nana Dartey to redeem is promise of providing the community with a 20-seater toilet facility.

The DCE according to the chief made the promise to the community during his community tour, and the people are expecting to see signs of fulfilling that promise.

The chief believes providing that community with such place of convenient will go a long way to boost the quest of eliminating open defecation thereby improving environmental hygiene in the area.

Nana Asiamah who was speaking at the commissioning of a new junior high school block for George Osei RC Junior High School donated by Mr. George Osei also used the occasion to call on the assembly to take steps to complete the nurses quarters started earlier in the community to make access to health care easier for residents in the area.

He also appealed for justice for Kwaku Wiredu, a young Boy who was murdered in the community in November 2016 where Isaac Kwasi Fosu and 7 others were arrested in connection with the murder but there was no prosecution.

The chief is requesting the Minister of Education to mention the matter at cabinet meeting else he would find a way to bring the matter to the public domain.
