Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the District Chief Executive for the area, Kudjoh Attah underscored the importance of such positive partnerships with the private sector that brings meaning to the investment in their people, "because we believe this facility will bring agricultural interventions close to our farmers".

According to the DCE, this project has not only given true meaning to the government's policy of strengthening a strong collaboration between the public and private sectors, but also it is in perfect consonance with other flagships programmes of the Akufo-Addo led government:
• One (1) District, one (1) cash crop
• One (1) District, one (1) factory
• One (1) District, one (1) warehouse and
• One (1) District center for Commerce and Technology

"It implies that we have taken the lead among comity of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAS) across the country. A lesson will be learnt to fashion and roll out other such government interventions in the District and beyond".

He challenged the partners and beneficiaries of the facility not to allow underutilized or let it go waste as in other districts, instead, it should serve as a catalyst to bringing real changes to farmers and farming activities through innovative interventions and quality management practices. "It should indeed be a center of agricultural excellence. I even would suggest that it becomes an extension of the offices of the Department of Agriculture, where the extension officers can give professional advice to farmers", he added.

He commended all those who played critical roles in securing the current location for the project despite all the initial challenges that securing a location was confronted with.

He assured the partners and all and sundry of the commitment of the assembly to offer the needed support to the centre to be able to deliver to the satisfaction of the people to make the needed impact on agriculture.
