DORMAA W: DCE warns revenue collectors over use of fake receipts
The Dormaa West District Chief Executive, Marry Ameyaa has expressed worry at some attitudes of revenue collectors in the district leading to revenue losses.

According to her, it is emerging that some of the revenue collectors have counterfeited the original receipt of the assembly, thus moneys collected using those receipts go into individual pockets instead coming to the assembly.
The DCE who expressed anger at the development thus sent a strong warning to those engaged in such dubious acts to desist from it or have themselves to blame when they are finally caught.

She indicated that the Assembly will advise itself on how to deal with development in due course, but added that it will be in the interest of perpetrators of such acts to stop now to allow the assembly meets its revenue target for development.She was addressing the general assembly meeting in November 2017.

Meanwhile, the executive committee as part of measures to improve revenue has approved the formation of revenue task force to enable the effective collection of revenue from the internally generated sources.It also called for issuance of demand notices to companies for the payment of taxes due to the district assembly.
