Adaklu DCE calls for support to help rebuild collapsed bridge

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Adaklu, Mr Kadey Phanuel Donkor has appealed to the government, Stakeholders and other developmental partners in the country to aid the assembly in its quest to rebuild a collapsed bridge linking the Waya Community and other major communities in the district.

He said that as a result of the collapse of the bridge, several people in the area had been cut off from the rest of the district making life unbearable, especially for the farmers in the area.

He thus called for an urgent need for the only bridge connecting the community to other towns to be reshaped to improve socio-economic activities in the area.

Mr Donkor made the appeal when he took representatives of Ghanadistricts.com and other key officers of the Assembly on an inspection tour to ascertain the extent of damage on the bridge and also have firsthand information of a recent accident which occurred as a result collapsed bridge.

In other related issues, the DCE also raised concerns about some bad roads in the district and again called on the government to help rehabilitate their roads to help improve transportation in the area.
